CPR & First Aid Classes
Granite State EMS offers Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) courses authorized by the American Heart Association. All courses meet the 2010 American Heart Association Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) standards. CPR courses are taught by emergency medical professionals with real-life experience as EMTs, Paramedics, and Nurses.
Why Learn CPR?
CPR can help you save lives and the life you save may be someone you love. According to the American Heart Association, 70% of Americans feel helpless to act during a cardiac emergency because either they do not know how to administer CPR or their training has lapsed. Since 88% of cardiac arrests happen in the home, it is very likely that the life you save with CPR is the life of a loved one.
Why Learn First Aid?
By performing simple first aid procedures and following certain guidelines, it may be possible to save lives by giving basic treatment until professional medical help arrives. In an emergency, if you’ve learned some of the basic first aid procedures, it will help you react quickly and efficiently and can make the difference from complete recovery and permanent disability.
